12 Week Intro to Design & Manufacturing
This is a Beginner level course focussed on 2D & 3D Drafting/Design & 3D Printing.
Service Description
This course introduces participants to the fundamentals of design using Fusion360, a powerful CAD software. It provides a comprehensive understanding of basic design principles with a strong focus on parametric design and additive manufacturing. Participants will learn how to set up projects, create detailed 2D sketches, and transform them into 3D models suitable for 3D printing. Through hands-on exercises and practical demonstrations, students will explore the step-by-step process of parametric modeling, enabling them to design with precision and adaptability. They will also gain valuable insights into the principles of additive manufacturing, understanding how to prepare their designs for successful 3D printing. By the end of the course, students will have the skills to confidently create, refine, and produce their own 3D models, making it an ideal starting point for those interested in design, engineering, or prototyping. No prior experience with CAD or 3D printing is necessary. Prior to underaking the course the student must have their own personal laptop with a student/hobbyist version of Fusion360 - this can be downloaded from the Autodesk website - see link below: https://www.autodesk.com/au/products/fusion-360/personal-form
